With Max Keiser in Paris

„The War against Gold and Silver“ is the title of a film production related to precious metals. Last Saturday we met up with an American in Paris as our first interviewee.

By Lars Schall

Last Saturday morning at 9 o’clock near the Place du Trocadéro in the heart of Paris, near the Eiffel Tower, we began to shoot the international documentary film „The War against Gold and Silver“ for the “Schild Verlag.” The intention here is to provide a really valuable DVD production in German and English. Given the high profile interviewees, from whom there are already commitments, this venture should be achievable.

Originally the first „war“ interview had been scheduled to take place in the stylish ambience of the „Cafe Kléber,“ but unfortunately the manager there expressed some sort of inflexibility, even though we had announced our coming and its purpose the day before. So we had then to leave empty-handed, after we had half of our technical equipment positioned, in order to perform the intended interview with the financial journalist Max Keiser somewhere else.

As an alternative we chose the Esplanade location between the two main halls of the Palais de Chaillot at the Place du Trocadéro. The Palais that is built in neoclassical style is on both sides lined with golden statues – which seemed to us not entirely inappropriate to talk about precious metals. And the fact that at the southern end of the square there is a bronze equestrian statue of Ferdinand Foch, the famous French Marshall during World War I, was also perceived as fitting – after all, Max Keiser is the initiator of the global operating Silver Liberation Army, SLA.

The leader of the SLA, who showed up on the scene just in time, proved to be during the interview as a professional through and through. Relaxed and unpretentious, nevertheless committed, he “stood and delivered” smoothly without hiding behind a pseudo-experts swollen tongue or language.

After the precious metals interview that included questions like these:

Is the SLA your own personal version of the “creative destruction“ à la Schumpeter directed against JP Morgan Chase?,

Will the Comex and the LBMA explode one day soon?,

–  Why do central banks begin to be net buyers of gold instead of sellers?,

we’ve conducted an additional interview that we want to publish here and now:

We think that Max Keiser does some straight talking here, thus no further commentary is necessary.

As the second interview was over, Monsieur Keiser had to leave the scene immediately to do the radio show „The Truth About Markets“ with Stacy Herbert.

With regard to the precious metal interview we ask for a little bit patience – in a few weeks when we have all the interviews in the box and the DVD about „The War against Gold and Silver“ is on the market, there should be a remarkable conversation with an American in Paris part of the professional produced spectacle.
